LAWRENCE
Phil has been composing and conducting from the age of 13; first playing the trumpet in every orchestra he could find in his home town of Liverpool, then moving on to work with The Halle,
Opera North, The BBC Philharmonic, The Royal Opera House & The Philharmonia among others.
In 1992 he landed his first TV ad - for The Times newspaper. SInce then he has composed for
over sixty TV commercials, including ads for Guinness, Wrigleys, Smarties and Nike.
Phil has scored numerous feature films, including Irvine Welsh's The Magnificent Eleven and a
re-scoring of the 1920's horror classic Nosferatu. He was commissioned to compose a work to celebrate 100 years of the RAF, titled "Into The Skies" which was premiered in the Albert Hall.
With an unrivalled knowledge of classical repertoire and a wealth of experience & versatility, across a wide variety of genres, Phil covers a multitude of musical bases in fine style.
